The Tarsheed Teacher Training Programme held its first educational workshop in the State of Qatar, titled “A Questioning Mindset,” delivered by educational consultant Ms. Ghada Maalouf on Friday and Saturday, 3-4 October 2025. The workshop brought together a group of teachers and educational supervisors from different grade levels.
A total of 27 female participants from various schools took part in the workshop, each receiving a copy of the book “A Questioning Mindset,” published by Tarsheed Educational Publications, authored by Trevor MacKenzie and Rebecca Bathurst-Hunt, and translated by Ali Ezzeddine.
The workshop aimed to support teachers in adopting effective inquiry-based practices in the classroom, positioning inquiry as a key approach to fostering critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and deep learning among students.
Spanning 12 training hours, the workshop included interactive sessions on the fundamentals of inquiry, creating classroom environments that encourage questioning, and practical applications of strategies to support student agency and make inquiry visible in everyday teaching practices.
The workshop concluded with a collective reflection on the impact of the experience and ways to continue developing a culture of inquiry throughout the academic year. Participants showed strong engagement and expressed appreciation for the practical and collaborative nature of the training.
