Tarsheed Educational Publications has released the third part of the book series “Crossing Disciplines and Discourses: Methodologies and Applications in Integrated Education”, authored by Dr. Wael Keshk. This installment is titled “Crossing Historical and Narrative Discourses into Educational Settings”.
The series, consisting of four parts, offers a comprehensive educational methodology that promotes critical thinking, historical and visual analysis, and narrative understanding. By connecting the series’ components, it provides teachers and students with tools to apply knowledge and skills in diverse and meaningful ways, enhancing engagement and effectiveness in the classroom.
Part Three focuses on redefining the teacher’s role as a guide and facilitator, rather than merely a transmitter of information. By integrating historical and narrative discourses, teachers can broaden traditional lessons, allowing students to explore past experiences and understand events and stories from social and cultural perspectives.
The book is divided into three main sections across nine interrelated chapters:
Foundations of integration and communication between knowledge domains, exploring the philosophical and historical concepts of the two discourses.
Practical activation of historical discourse in teaching through analysis of speeches, documents, images, and historical films, supplemented with classroom-ready activities and assignments.
Narrative discourse in its various forms-storytelling, myth, fiction, and narrative-highlighting ways to foster imagination, critical thinking, and connections to cultural and social realities.
This release reinforces the series’ vision of integrated education to enrich learning experiences. It equips teachers to guide students in connecting the past with the present, narrative with history, and knowledge with humanistic understanding.
Through this project, Tarsheed Educational Publications continues its mission to provide high-quality professional and conceptual tools for Arab educators, supporting innovative and meaningful teaching practices.
